At Marathon Electric India, we prioritize workplace safety. Our Kolkata facility recently hosted Fire Service Week, focusing on fire prevention and emergency preparedness. The initiative included expert-led training sessions and hands-on demonstrations to enhance awareness and response skills.

Honoring Firefighters and Raising Awareness

The week began with a tribute to firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. A commemorative banner was hoisted to recognize their service, reinforcing the importance of fire safety at work and beyond.

Comprehensive Fire Safety Training

Employees participated in a First Responders training conducted by the West Bengal Fire & Emergency Service Department. The session covered essential fire emergency protocols, followed by a firefighting system demonstration, equipping employees with hands-on experience in handling fire extinguishers and suppression systems.

Specialized Fire Pump Operation Training

A session on fire pump operation, led by Safe Guard India, provided employees with critical insights into fire pump mechanisms, operations, and troubleshooting techniques, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of fire safety infrastructure.

Internal Training on Emergency Equipment

In-house training focused on our fire alarm system and emergency equipment usage, helping employees familiarize themselves with evacuation procedures and safety tools for prompt and effective responses in emergencies.
